Responsibilities

Operations
?Operate single, double needle sewing machine(s) to join materials used on chair(s).?Operate serging machine(s) to sew and overcast edges of predetermined materials.?Operate sewing or serging machines to make small pieces used in chairs.?Ensure that sewing lanes are done within the 1/8” to 3/8” allowance.?Install zippers, velcro or straps to predetermined sections/pieces of materials.?Use pre-identified stickers or mark stamp the personal identifier for each processed piece.?Manually arrange and move product to designated work in process shelves or tables.

Quality?
Check for defects of irregularities on materials before processing.?Report quality problems to the Area Supervisor.?Do the task and check or verify items while in process, visually and by tryouts if needed.?Maintain standards and follow procedures.

Equipment Maintenance:?
Keep machine(s) and working environment clean.?Make minor adjustments and changes of accessories.?Oil machine(s) once a week or as needed.?Report any equipment problem to the Area Supervisor.

Safety:?
Clean workplace, equipment and tools, eradicating sources of dirt.?Put essential things in order so that they can be easily accessed.?Make housekeeping a routine – cleaning, sorting and checking, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to: – To report directly to the Automation Solutions Engineering Manager and communicate all relevant matters pertaining to assembly and integration of Automation Systems. – Assembly of Robotic, Hard Automation and Environmental systems to ensure that all assemblies of systems meet customer requirements and system specifications. – Schedules daily work assignments of production team in a timely, efficient and safe manner ensuring completion of projects based on provided schedules. – To provide trouble shooting, repair and technical support services as required. – Provide guideline and technical support to production team and other technical staff (both in house and at the customer locations) – Ensure each system/project is completed with zero quality defects and/or warranty issues. – Maintaining a safe and organized work area. – To continually contribute to the profitability of the company and ongoing business operations by initiating, recommending and implementing continuous improvement strategies and initiatives. – To fully abide by and actively support Lincoln Electric’s Environmental Health & Safety policies, practices and procedures with respect to protecting the environment, the conservation of nature resources and the Health & Safety of all employees. – To fully abide by and actively support Lincoln Electric’s Code of Corporate Conduct and Ethics along with any other Compliance related policies and requirements – To conduct any general duties, specific projects and responsibilities as assigned or required by the Automation Engineering Manager and/or his/her designate in a timely and professional manner.

QUALIFICATIONS:?- Minimum 8 years of experience in manufacturing industry with minimum 3 years of supervisory role. – Strong Mechanical & Electrical aptitude with hands on background in machine assembly, testing and troubleshooting. – Must have experience with handling and assembly of heavy and large size equipment. – Must be able to use lifting straps, rigs, fork-lifts etc. to safely position and fasten equipment such as robots, manipulators, guarding etc. (Must hold fork-lift license and working experience with fork-lift) – High level of expertise in using power and hand tools with strong hands-on skills. – Proficiency in reading, and following electrical, assembly and engineering drawings/schematics. – Ability to handle multiple job orders with constantly changing priorities, and strict delivery deadlines. – Good knowledge of workplace Health & Safety Act & Regulations. – Previous automation/robotics experience and knowledge of control/electrical are definite asset. – Must be able to travel throughout Canada, the USA and internationally as required by the Company – Ability to focus, prioritize, multi-task, and follow instructions. – Must be able to build strong rapport with customers/Staffs – Must be accurate and detailed/deadline oriented and require minimum supervision – Must be able exhibit clear and effective communication skills

Minimum Qualifications:

•College diploma/certification in CNC Machining is an asset
•Minimum 1-2 years CNC Programming and Set-up experience in a manufacturing environment (Automotive Industry preferably)
•Excellent knowledge of CNC Programming and CNC machine controls i.e. tool offsets/changes, program changeovers
•Excellent knowledge of hand tools and assembly processes
•Excellent knowledge of measuring equipment, and safety legislation
•Advance knowledge of machining and proven experience in prototyping and blueprint reading

Duties and Responsibilities:

•Develop CNC Programs both manually and by using software to ensure efficient, cost effective machining of parts.
•Set-up, adjust and troubleshoots CNC machines to ensure that parts are produced according to MSM quality requirements
•Participate in team problem solving and preventative/corrective action as required
•Coordinates with Flow Forming, Maintenance, and Engineering personnel to work on sample parts and on continuous improvement projects as required.
•Perform tooling preventative maintenance as required.
•Exchange work knowledge and provides training for members of the CNC/Set-up department
•Train and assist CNC operators in insert changes and minor offset adjustments
•Ensure that all set-ups and repairs are done in a manner that will ensure the Company’s objectives with respect to minimizing downtime, scrap and tooling cost are met
•Maintain high standards of housekeeping at all times
•Ensure that all safety precautions and procedures are followed and works within the guidelines and rules of the plant
•To produce parts to close tolerance, specifications and punctually to ensure high productivity and part quality
•Report any non-conformance to the CNC Production Manager
•Report to your supervisor and team leader to determine priority and any other problems that would affect the smooth operation of the department
•Recommend changes to continuously improve tooling and processes
•Perform other assignments for the Department Manager
•Observe standards for safe working conditions as outlined in the Occupational Health & Safety Act as well as rules and regulations outlined.
