Mountain Path – Outside Sales Representative
TORONTO AND SURROUNDING AREA
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
This person will be expected to optimize sales to existing clients, exceed current sales targets, and develop new customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Regularly visit existing accounts to promote products, and monthly specials, and to develop new accounts in appropriate venues
Work with our Brokers and Suppliers (in conjunction with Head Office) to generate monthly promotions, set up demos, and place ads for specials in key accounts
Address customer needs regarding pricing, quality and service by liaising with Head Office, Suppliers or Brokers
Monitor sales activity by preparing reports for head office on sales to specific accounts, delineating fluctuations in quantity and type of products purchased
Keep a daily record of activity and submit carefully documented expenses weekly
Show a keen interest in, and become knowledgeable about, organic and natural products generally, and Mountain Path products in particular
Fulfill all aspects of Customer Relations Management: assessing client needs; tracking their complaints or requests for product returns; and buyers in an ongoing and meaningful dialogue
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION
Three or more years of work in the Natural Food industry
A strong sales background or demonstrable aptitude for sales
Keen motivation and ability to work on your own
Good verbal skills and a professional manner
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Power Point
A personal computer and printer, a clean automobile, and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Be a team player and show integrity and good will in your dealings with all staff
Attend Trade Shows and Business Meetings within or beyond your vicinity
A post-secondary degree will be a definite asset
