Toronto, Ontario – We’re looking for an experienced PHP developer to join our quickly growing team based out of Liberty Village. Our company is developing a mobile platform which helps organizations to quickly launch native apps and mobile websites on all of today’s major smartphone and tablet platforms.

The Senior PHP Developer role will consist of helping the development team to conceive, experiment with, and present architectural approaches for software applications, including web, client, server, and others. The developer will also be responsible for designing and programing new platform functionality while ensuring architectural integrity and consistency across the entire product.

Requirements:

• Computer Science degree strongly preferred
• At least 5 years of experience working on a large PHP framework based project
• Strong programming capabilities in PHP, MySQL and Javascript
• Experience using the Zend Framework will be considered an asset
• Strong understanding of OOP, design patterns and unit testing
• Very technical and technologically savvy with excellent communication abilities
• Strong leader capable of motivating and energizing the very best software engineers, as well as gaining their respect
• Substantial knowledge of UNIX/Linux or Windows environments

• Strong distributed systems and architecture knowledge, and experience with multi-tiered mission-critical systems preferred
