We are currently looking for a dynamic Manager, Payroll to head up our payroll department. The preferred location for this position is in our Mississauga office.
Responsibilities
•In coordination with the team, develop, document and communicate business rules and payroll procedures ensuring accurate and efficient administration of programs based on best practices for payroll processing Work with payroll provider to ensure compliance with all relevant legislative requirements (provincial, federal and non-resident regulations)
•Develop Quality Assurance procedures to ensure accuracy of payments to employees and filings to jurisdictional authorities
•Develop audit and internal control processes for payroll processing
•Preparation of ad hoc, periodic and annual reports as required
•Assume a lead role in any development and implementation of new systems, interfaces, and processes
•Responsible for the process improvement within the Payroll group by adhering to and creating new standard work documentation and process flow charts
•Design and execute reports for management and financial analysts
•Responsible for the timesheet system entry and accuracy across Canada which includes audits
•Lead project initiatives as required
•Provide ongoing training and support to Payroll staff
•Oversee the work flow of Payroll staff to ensure deadlines are met
•Manage and effectively delegate work assignments to balance workload among staff
