Canadian Rail Collision and Refurbish Inc. is looking for Rail Car Preppers.
All prepper candidates must have the ability & qualifications to perform the following:
- 2+ years in an automotive paint prepping position
- Knowledge in preparing the metal surface for paint
- Sanding down areas required for paint
- Knowledge of different sand paper grits and the appropriate uses for them
- Repairing any defects
- Ability to maintain sanders and other required tools
- Precise ability to masking off areas that do not require paint
- Ensure that the surface for paint is washed, blown and tacked properly
- Unmask and dispose of masking once paint job is completely cured
- Perform re-work on paint job and touch ups on areas that need it
- Watersand and buff out any blemishes on the paint job
