Operations Associate
Bermuda, Vancouver or UK

Our client is a global fund management company headquartered in Bermuda. With 20 years of experience and offices in a number of international locations, they offer unique investment management services for leading institutions and sophisticated individual investors.

As a result of their commitment to creating relevant solutions that meet their clients’ changing investment needs they have recently created a new venture consisting of state-of-the-art technology, a novel business model and innovative products.

On their behalf, we are searching for a suitably qualified individual to assist in them in pushing forward this business initiative in the position of Operations Associate. The successful candidate may be based in Bermuda, Vancouver or the UK depending in part on their preferences and portability.

Primary Responsibilities * Conduct research, design systems and processes, and subsequently pilot, test and refine to support the creation of a novel and massively scalable/reliable/cost effective operational model * Work with the business and development teams to define innovative features for product and service design (for both customer facing and internal systems) * Define collaboration model with internal and 3rd party service providers (e.g., custodian, administrator), conduct rigorous selection, and lead in subsequent integration process to ensure quality and timely service delivery * Manage internal and 3rd party service providers to ensure quality and timely delivery * Design and implement the operations group’s day-to-day organization

We are seeking the following in a preferred candidate: * Bachelor’s degree with an outstanding academic record from a reputable university * Master’s (especially MBA) or higher level degree strongly preferred * At least 2 years of professional experience in a management consulting, marketing or business development role * Ability to communicate and interact with all levels of management * Previous experience in a start-up environment, product development, and/or market research would be a strong plus * Previous experience working with software developers in defining system requirements a nice to have * Previous investment or financial services industry experience in Canada also a positive

Compensation and career opportunity will be very attractive for the right individual. Bermuda location offers a low-tax environment with a maximum payroll tax of 5.25%! Relocation assistance, health insurance contributions and relevant work permit is also available.
