Job Description:
The role requires working directly with IT management, infrastructure and application specialists, staff, and other business units to ensure that Service Level Agreements are adhered to. This position will play a key role within the newly created ITS Operations department.
Accountabilities:
• Support infrastructure technology components within a large multi-site SAP operation including the facilitation of support efforts between 3rd party vendors and member hospitals in order to meet established service levels
• Effectively apply structured problem solving skills and available tools to quickly evaluate problems, identify impact and root causes, and develop action plans and resolution options
• Coordinate and execute the support, monitoring, testing, maintenance and change of the ITS infrastructure environment, managing other support teams and third party vendors that provide levels 2, 3, and 4 support where required
• Maintain comprehensive business and technical knowledge of the ITS infrastructure components in order to provide systems analysis
• Develop and implement plans to meet new and changing requirements for infrastructure based on an evolving enterprise environment
• Evaluate changes for production readiness, performance, and supportability by identifying and resolving problems, risks, and issues
• Contribute to the successful handling of infrastructure technology support activities such as change management, release management and disaster recovery management
• Adhere to the IT policies and procedures, methodologies, and standards to ensure effective support and maintenance for infrastructure technology environments
• Ensure that architecture principles and technical standards are communicated and followed
• Work collaboratively with business users to support and monitor the technology components of the ITS environments
• Identify opportunities for operational enhancements and process improvements as part of a continuous improvement initiative, ensuring that the plans are researched, clearly articulated, and presented to management
• Identify and monitor interdependencies between various technology components
• Provide on call support as required
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for enterprise environments including infrastructure topology, interface environments, application environments and hardware inventories.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years working in finance and supply chain functionality in SAP ECC6 (Enterprise Core Components) and EHP4; Process Integration (PI) 7.1 with See burger 2.0 for EDI ; SAP SRM 7.0; and Solution Manager 7.0
• Minimum 5-7 years experience supporting large ERP IT operational environments, processes and tools
• Conversant in Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes, procedures, and roles required
• Knowledge of Change, Incident, Problem and Management processes and tools, with the ability to direct internal and 3rd party support teams in the identification of root cause analysis of incidents and performance issues
• Proven ability to perceive underlying practices that affect system performance and identify potential system improvements
• Experience in working with outsourcing providers for support incident escalation and resolution purposes
• Proven team player with the ability to contribute in a dynamic, team oriented environment
• Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem solving environment
• Knowledge of WAN and mobile infrastructure environments, operations and tools
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written
• University Degree or College diploma with additional specialized certificate, relevant to position
