NAV/GP Consultant (Toronto)

We are looking for Microsoft Dynamics NAV or GP Consultants with implementation experience in the Financial and/or Manufacturing modules. Our client is a Dynamics re-seller that is seeking experienced NAV or GP Consultants to transition into Dynamics AX Consultants. This position is permanent and based in the GTA. Travel to client sites within Ontario is required. This is an excellent opportunity to to broaden your Microsoft Dynamics ERP exposure. Our client is paying a base salary of $80-85K, depending on experience and education/certifications. However, you will earn well over $100K due to bonuses paid quarterly that are easily attainable.
The description for this position follows:
Dynamics AX Consultant -- Financials and/or Manufacturing
Location: Primarily Ontario
Travel: 80% of work is onsite at customer locations
SUMMARY:
The application consultant will participate in billable customer projects to implement the Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP solution at customer sites. The consultant will provide financial (and/or manufacturing) business process expertise and application specific recommendations in one or more of the following business areas: Financial Management, Supply Chain Management, Production Planning and Scheduling, Configuration and Development, Business Intelligence, Workspace Collaboration, Manufacturing, and CRM.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Participate in Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP software implementations as a trusted consultant.
• Provide in-depth application expertise in targeted business areas.
• Analyze customer business needs and objectives
• Streamline customer business processes to achieve greater ROI within the context of the AX ERP suite.
• Create and manage implementation project plans.
• Apply Microsoft Dynamics Sure Step Methodology to assist customers in deploying the AX solution in a timely and effective manner.
• Travel to customer sites in North America, primarily in Ontario, to deliver professional services. A growing percentage of project activities may be performed remotely.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Self motivated, articulate, and able to inspire audiences.
• A comprehensive understanding of ERP applications
• Deep knowledge of financial management and/or manufacturing business processes
• Process analysis, redesign, and documentation
• Strong MS Office skills
DESIRED SKILLS:
• Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP experience--or Dynamics NAV or GP implementation experience
• Accounting/finance experience
• Business consulting experience
• Report specification and development
• MS SQL server knowledge an asset
