REPORTING: to the Operations Manager
DATE: January 2011
PURPOSE & SCOPE:
The Stock Supervisor helps drive top line sales and profitability by ensuring inventory management systems and processes are followed and executed to maintain an organized and efficient stockroom area and well replenished sales floor. The Stock Supervisor works in partnership with the Operation Manager and Visual Merchandiser to prioritize weekly shipment and ensure it is received within set standards and guidelines as well as executes daily replenishment opportunity. The stock Supervisor is essential to help drive top line sales as well as maximizing gross margin potential.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Accurate and timely receiving of weekly shipment as per set standards and guidelines
• Consistently Maintain organizational and operational set standards of the backroom area
• Lead, direct and coach the support staff during the shipment receiving process to ensure productivity efficiency and standards are met to complete the shipment with in 24 hrs.
• In partnership with the leadership team, execute daily replenishment needs
• Communicate success, opportunities and solutions to the department Manager to help drive results and productivity
• Maintain the administrative standards and functions
• Weekly processing of damaged product
• Helps to execute markdown process to ensure compliance
• Complete a daily sales floor and backroom walkthrough to organize and prioritize tasks throughout the day.
• Works with the Visual Merchandiser to help plan, prepare and execute new flow of product
• Maintain and reinforce merchandising direction and brand standards of the sales floor
NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Cash register
• Merchandising
• Fitting room coverage
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong organizational skills and ability
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability
• Ability to motivate, lead and coach staff
• Ability to work with little supervision
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Delegation and follow up skill
• A passion to work with apparel
OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to effectively maneuver around Sales floor and stockroom, repetitive bending standing, twisting, stopping, squatting and climbing up and down ladders.
• Effectively communicate with customers and store personnel
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including early morning, weekend and night shifts.
