JOB SUMMARY:
Leisureworld Caregiving Centre – Midland Gardens has 51 independent living units and currently has an opening for a Full-Time Community & Tenant Relations Manager. The initial assignment is for 75 hours bi-weekly, subject to change based on the operational needs or under the discretion of the manager.
As a valued member of the team, the Community & Tenant Relations Manager demonstrates a commitment to resident safety by providing quality care in accordance with organization’s vision and mission.
RESPONSIBILITIES (But not limited to):
• Maintaining ongoing tenant relations including addressing all tenant concerns.
• Coordination and management of building maintenance and housekeeping services.
• Preparation and review of all tenant agreements.
• Coordination of move-ins/outs.
• Lead the annual tenant satisfaction survey.
• Participate in the annual budget process for the retirement residence.
• Meet monthly with the Director of Administration from the Long Term Care Homes and the Regional Vice President to review progress, concerns and action plans.
• Handles all other administrative duties for the residence including but not limited to preparing purchase orders, control of accounts receivable & accounts payable, coordination of meal plans with the Long Term Care Home.
• Lead the customer sales function to meet and exceed monthly occupancy targets and revenue goals. This will include lead and traffic generation, handling all inquiries and tours, qualifying prospects and leading them through the sales process and using consistent and creative follow-up.
• Maintain accurate records of all tours, sales calls, names, phone numbers and results. Create a database for future reference and follow-up.
• Build strategic local industry and community relationships to keep residence "Top of Mind" and in positive public image.
• Remains current on all competitor, market place data and industry trends.
• Creates a bi-annual analysis on competition and accurately reports data on rates, occupancy, promotions, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats and presents alternatives to combat these to Vice President of Operations, Retirement.
• Adheres to all standards, corporate policies and procedures to deliver consistent sales experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 3 years’ experience in property management , real estate and/or rental sales
• 2 years proven success in sales & marketing for rental properties
• Experience in creating and implementing sales and marketing plans.
• Thorough understanding of the Tenant Protection Act.
• Valid Driver’s License and vehicle is required.
• Possess excellent communication skills, written and verbal, comfortable public speaking
• Demonstrate good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills
• Proactive and self-driven
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Flexible working hours with the ability to work weekends, evenings
• Understanding the health care system and the continuum of care is an asset
EDUCATION:
• Business degree with major in sales, marketing, communications, public relations or background in service related position, real estate, health care, fundraising, tourism, hospitality, sales
