BANQUET SERVER JOB DESCRIPTION
• Prior Banquet Service large groups is strongly preferred.
• Provides prompt and professional service at all times.
• Set tables as directed prior to guest's arrival. Makes certain dishes and other tableware are clean and polished and condiments and beverages are ready. Also have some décor on each of the break tables.
• Responsible for changes regarding additional information and counts.
• Check contracts and schedule times to make sure breaks go out as scheduled.
• Serve food on time, as quietly as possible, remaining courteous and polite at all time. Remain attentive to guest's needs and requests throughout the meal. Work in a cooperative manner with fellow team members to clean up following the meals. Assist in removing dirty trays of dishes from the rooms.
• Keep up on side work as required in banquets, filling salt and pepper shakers, sugar containers.
• Make sure hallway is cleaned of excess food and dishes are brought back to the kitchen or stored properly.
BANQUET SERVER JOB REQUIREMENTS:
•
Previous experience in hotels/catering preferred but not required.
•
Previous banquet serving experience is a must.
• Must be able to lift and carry heavy trays above the shoulder to designated areas. Lifting up to but not limited to 20lbs.
• Required to do a great deal of walking, standing and some bending. Must be able to move chairs, table, etc. to adjust banquet set up if needed.
