Customer Service/ Administrative Assistant - $ 36-40 k (Leslie/Sheppard)

Our client, a well established chemical manufacturing and distribution organization located in North York, is looking for a Customer Service / Administrative Assistant to add to their growing team.
Key responsibilities of the position include:
-Taking and processing orders on the phone and via email
- Order entry into the system
- Data entry relating to accounts payable
- Arranging and preparing shipments for courier
- Ensure the smooth operations of the office including distributing faxes and mail, dealing with couriers, ensuring the office presents well
- Composing correspondence, as required
- Screen incoming calls and emails, handling as many of the inquiries as possible
- Additional administrative/customer service tasks, as required
The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:
- Previous distribution, manufacturing (chemical) experience an asset
- Previous warehouse experience an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent computer skills -- MS Word, MS Excel
- Well organized, with great problem solving multi-tasking abilities,
- Open-minded, team player
- Well organized and initiative driven
- Friendly, patient, courteous and professional on the phone and in person
- Great attitude, helpful towards others
This is an excellent, full time opportunity with a well established organization. The position is located in North York and is accessible by TTC. The pay is very competitive at $36-40 k depending on experience plus benefits.
