Logistics Coordinator – Intermediate to Senior Level Experience

The role:
• Carrier rate negotiations
• Submit carrier & cold storage rate comparison to Customer Service/Logistics
Manager with recommendations
• Customs - prepare export documentation (BOL, Commercial Invoice & BCB)
• Liaise with multiple departments, transportation companies, warehouse
personnel, freight forwarders to ensure all shipments and processes are efficiently and accurately executed.
• NAFTA updates (as required)
• Make appointments for customer deliveries (as required).
• Build relationships with customer contacts points.
• Coordinate deliveries with carrier to meet appointment times.
• Work with customer service rep. to ensure inventory will be ready for shipping
to meet P.O. transfer delivery dates.
• Create documents for shipments/pick-ups and transfers from company’s facility.
• Arrange transfer shipments from company’s location to outside warehouses.
• Track shipments to all DC's & storage facilities.
• Build relationships with main contact freight carriers.
• Resolve delivery and paperwork issues with carriers.
• Respond quickly to customer service requests to track problem shipments
and report on time-sensitive deliveries.
• Provide freight quotes to customer service team for expedited freight requests.
• Work with DTA to ensure they have the most up to date freight rates on file.
• Supervise the loading and complete all paperwork for International containers
shipments.
• Investigate shipping procedures for any new or current customer to ensure that the most efficient and cost effective ways are being utilized
• International Container Loading Plans
You will need:
• Be focused on accuracy and urgency
• Have a dedication to meeting the expectations of the customer’s delivery requirements
• 3-5 years solid global logistics experience with North America, Europe and other countries as they expand into other markets in the world
• Be available for overtime and special projects as needed.
