Graphic Designer (Wilson - Bathurst)

We are a magazine publishing house. We publish a monthly magazine as well, we provide web & graphic design.
Our firm provides high quality graphic design for clients for whom "the ordinary is just not good enough".
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work directly under and with an acclaimed award winning senior designer.
No resume will be reviewed without CV &access to a portfolio.
The Requirements
• At least 3 years working with a reputable firm.
• Have a keen sense of design and balance.
• Be able to design a project from concept to completion independently.
Responsibilities for Web Design
Web page design and development
• Designs and implements creative and effective web user interface layouts for promotional web pages, interactive Macromedia Flash animations, mini-sites, and banners for internal and external Clients while maintaining strict brand standards.
• Identifies and resolves technical issues with assistance from Senior Web Designer.
• Completes mockups and implements designs under tight and changing deadlines.
• Building applications using Javascript, xhtml and CSS
Planning and coordination of work
• Manages and prioritizes multiple projects within given deadlines.
• Informs Clients and Web Creative Manager when additional time is required to complete a project.
• Provides Clients with creative, first, and final proofs for every project and sends publication notifications when project is published.
• Archives final design resource files for each completed project.
Requirements
All requirements are based on 3+ years of experience and include, but are not limited to the following:
• Web Interface Development
• Web development with dynamic data driven pages
• Retail / fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Extensive knowledge of HTML, CSS styling & layout (ability to hand-code a must) with solid understanding of cross browser compatibility issues
• Intermediate knowledge and able to edit existing JavaScript

1. PhotoShop
2. InDesign
3. Illustrator
4. Adobe Acrobat
5. MS Word
