GrantStream is a small, fast-growing, privately owned Canadian company in the field of corporate citizenship and community investment, providing consulting and unique Internet-based technology services to demanding FP 500 corporations such as Honda, Bell Canada , Air Canada , Manulife Financial and Petro-Canada. GrantStream, established in 2000, is based in Oakville, Ontario .

Our growth requires creation a new software development position. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of development projects including development and maintenance of PHP Web applications, and Microsoft SQL server databases.

The candidate will support a variety of PHP projects relating to GrantStream core technology applications, including maintenance of existing PHP code
o Database programming
o The candidate will also be required to assist with database programming in SQL Server 2000, 2008 and MySQL.

Requirements:
• Minimum: diploma in computer science or equivalent; Preferred: bachelor degree in software engineering, computer science or equivalent
• 3-5 years programming experience using the following languages:
o PHP
o HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, CSS
o OOP
o T-SQL

Knowledge of:
o Relational database management (MS SQL Server, MySQL, MS Access) Linux environnent
o GUI design

Highly developed oral English skills are essential for this role. Well developed English writing skills and written and oral French are definite assets.
