One of my Burlington customers is looking to hire on a Technical specialist for a 3 week - fulltime employment. Customer is a boutique IAAS business in West Burlington, with server farms at 3rd party Data Warehouse in Toronto, serves SMB's in Golden Horseshoe.

REGULAR WORK
• Customer service
o Diplomacy and efficiency responding to end user issues, or client point person
• Capacity/performance
o Review Alert
o Review backup status,
o Monitor disk space and performance
o Report on Variable Use -- licensing, bandwidth
o Sustainability reviews/servers retirements
• Technical On-boarding of new clients
• Technical support of existing clients
• Limited
o On-call. We are pursuing a 3rd party for afterhours support.

PROJECTS underway
• (3P) Build multi-tenancy infrastructure. -- contribute to Design, scalability, component selection, research alternatives, build, establish BU protocol, establish Business Continuity/DR,
• (RT) P2V a client with 40+ website/DB clients in 1 week.
• (GH) 'Migrate' 3 dedicated servers 2003 to hybrid cloud with 2008R2 in 3 weeks.
• (Mrt) 'Migrate' 2 dedicated servers 2008 to VPSs with 2008R2 and dedicated firewall.
• (CV) 'Migrate' 2 dedicated replicated Linux servers to VPS
• (RC) 'Migrate' 1 e-commerce DB website from Virtuosso to Windows 2008R2
• (3P) Design/build Offsite backup program for server farm.
