PPG Chemfil Canada Ltd. is an independent operating unit of PPG Industries (A Fortune 500 Company). Our primary business is to supply metal and plastic pretreatment chemical technologies to the Canadian automotive and industrial paint and metal finishing market.
Job Description:
We currently have an opening for an entry level Technical Service Rep in the western GTA (Brampton, Mississauga, Burlington) to support (chemistry & process engineering) our products at customer facilities. The position interacts directly with our customers and thus we are looking for a technical person with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Please provide examples of these skill sets in your cover letter. The position entails;
Auditing / monitoring and troubleshooting of customer processes.
Maintain/control inventory levels based upon plant's needs and interact with multiple vendors as required to meet the customer expectation.
Respond proactively as required to technical and business concerns from customers to ensure continued high levels of customer satisfaction.
The right candidate will be dedicated, motivated, and able to organize and prioritize multiple tasks . We are looking for someone that is hands-on with practical problem solving abilities.
Education as a Chemical Engineer or Chemical Engineering Technologist is required.
Key Required Skill Set
A strong communicator who is comfortable dealing with all levels within an organisation.
Possesses high ethics and values, with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships.
Hard working, well organised and adaptable (work outside of traditional hours may be required.)
Good computer skills and a solid working knowledge of MS Office suite of programs .
Focused and driven to succeed (entrepreneurial mind-set.)
Manages conflicting priorities well.
Flexible and at ease with a less structured environment (positively embraces the challenges presented by changing requirements on a daily basis.
Possess some mechanical aptitude.
Must have a valid driver's license.
