Junior Programmer
TCR is seeking a dynamic, motivated, and results-oriented Junior Programmer. The Junior Programmer will provide IT support to management and staff, and will efficiently contribute to the day-to-day computer operations at the firm, reporting directly to the IT Manager.
Job Details:
Analyzing problems or issues with our in-house applications and databases and developing programmatic solutions to correct such deficiencies, create new functionality or meet client requests in a timely and accurate fashion
Complete and thorough testing methodology to ensure the effectiveness of programming solutions
Analysis, installation and acceptance testing of externally sourced application programs
Fully document programmatic changes or updates, and communicate changes to other IT members. Documentation includes proper program notes, functional specifications, instructional documents and general knowledge sharing
Contribute to the day-to-day IT operational support by providing troubleshooting assistance, problem identification and corrective action plans
Maintain various SQL databases and provide programmatic solutions and efficiencies
Proactively increase IT efficiencies, shorten problem resolution times, increase security and availability, and the effectiveness of all aspects of the department
Assisting with other projects as required
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or relevant industry experience
Strong organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple deadlines and priorities
Excellent working knowledge of C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET
Experienced in Web Development (HTML, JavaScript, etc.)
Must have previous experience with SQL, and UNIX/AIX
Working knowledge of Universe Multi Value Database and Universe Basic is an asset
Exemplary team work and communications skills
Possesses integrity, honesty, efficiency and enthusiasm
Solid analytical problem solving skills necessary to deal with and resolve problems
Knowledge and understanding of best practices relating to security processes and procedures, application software, system management, firewalls, network, and data communication hardware, and printers
Motivated and proactive approach to troubleshooting
1-2 years of experience in a similar role
