Ourr client is seeking a Director of Network Operations
The Director of Network Operations
is responsible for the managers within the Engineering department, Network Operations Department and Information Technology Department. Successful candidates will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be independent and self-motivated, and possess strong technical knowledge and a commitment to excel.
Job Description:
• 5+ years of experience at the management/director level.
• Telecommunications background- Must. -Must have worked with director level of sr. managers, aligning technology strategy, operations and infrastructure.
- Experience overseeing all forms of network escalations from management, operationally, and projects related.
• Be able to put forward high level suggestions recommendations to improve the companies infrastructure, research and suggest new technologies, identify gaps and implement the appropriate fixes.
• Experience with Architecture on a network infrastructure level, ability to keep up with evolving trends and technologies.
• Must be able to work closely with IT Managers, NOC Managers
• Demonstrate ability to transfer technical knowledge to others
• Strong knowledge of project management processes and the project management life cycle.
• Experience in managing 3rd party Vendors and 3rd party delivery partners.
• Ability to guide development teams as needed for technical solutions to complex problems.
• Ability to create and maintain technical documentation from the beginning of a project through completion.
• Demonstrated experience with facilitating change both within IT and in the business.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, especially Word, Excel and Project.
Technologies/Infrastructure make up:
• NOC : Ticketing proprietary based system
• VOICE Engineering: Linux based, all voice services are carrier grade, CISCO
• IT Systems: All Windows based
