POSITION: JUNIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER
LOCATION: TORONTO, ON
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintain designated certifications and core competencies in the following: HP, IBM,
Dell, Microsoft, Patch Mgmt., Citrix and VMware
• Implement and Support network based solutions including Pre-Site Review,
Planning, Engineering Installation and Integration (networking, availability, clustering
and systems administration), Network Documentation, support and maintenance
• Ensure 100% customer satisfaction levels
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Understanding of at least one of the following directory services: LDAP, AD, DNS
• BCom. or BS degree in Computer Science or related field or 2 years practical
experience in a related job function.
• Industry Certifications is an asset.
• Strong PC and server problem determination and correction skills
• Capable of using manufacturer diagnostic tools to solve most hardware issues
• Strong Knowledge of computer hardware & software:
• Familiarity with High Level Servers, Blade Servers, SAN, and NAS storage devices
• Strong knowledge with Windows Operating Systems (including, 2000, XP, Vista, 7,
Server 2003 & 2008)
• Working knowledge of VMware Products and Services, including VMWare ESX or
other virtualization technology.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS
• Must be willing to continue to learn in a fast paced environment
• Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills
• Commitment to high quality customer service through efficient task completion
