Banquet Servers (Mississauga, ON)

Banquet servers are required for Pavilion Royale located in Mississauga, ON.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
To ensure the guests receive friendly, courteous, and prompt service at all times following
prescribed and established service procedures.
Display professional behaviour, integrity, pride, and loyalty to Pavilion Royale and its team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Prepare and set function room for service; polish cutlery/glassware, stock side stations, prepare mise en place, etc
• Ensures all food and beverage items meet company standards prior to delivery/service
• Delivers food/beverage to guests within established service standards
• Clearing down food/beverage dishes from guests within established service standards
• Make sure hallways and lobbies are cleaned of excess food and dishes are brought back to the kitchen or stored properly
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation
• Keep up on side work as required in banquets, filling salt and pepper shakers, sugar containers,etc
• Quick and thorough completion of assigned side duties
• Adhere to service standards and policies
• Follow all Health & Safety policies and procedures
• Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act
• Perform all other duties as assigned
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
• Previous experience working in the food industry preferably with weddings and events in banquet halls is strongly preferred
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays
• Smart Serve certification
• Able to stand, walk and bend for 8 hours
• Ability to work independently and/or with minimal supervision
• Work well under pressure; handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Must be able to lift and carry heavy trays. Lifting up to but not limited to 20lbs
• Possess excellent customer service and provides prompt and professional service at all times.
• Pleasant manner and excellent communication skills (written and spoken English)
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Thorough and detailed oriented
• Must be a team player
