The position
We are looking for a self-motivated individual who are excited to work in a fast-paced environment. As an Application Support Analyst, you are expected to
• Work closely with the rest of the development team in delivering multiple Internet and Intranet applications
• Support end users as well as evaluate new requirements and provide quick enhancements
• Maintain multiple applications including support, configuration, documentation, testing and upgrade with a strong focus on change management processes
• Support end users and work with developers to resolve application issues
• Troubleshoot problems and develop quick patch or fix
• Set up user accounts and assist with the maintenance of test, development and training environments for critical applications
• Distribute software releases and bug fixes to internal and external clients
• Distribute data updates to internal and external clients
• Install and configure software for our external and internal clients
• Demonstrating products to potential clients
• Coordinate formal end user training
• Other duties as requested
The requirements
To qualify for this role, you must have a post secondary education or above, preferably in Information Technology or related discipline, minimum 2 years of working experience in similar functions, and have the following skills:
- Excellent T-SQL skills, with minimum 2 years hands-on experience in Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or later, including SQL Server Reporting Services
- At least 2 years hands-on development experience with C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET
- Good written and verbal communication and customer service skills
- Good analytical, troubleshooting and creative problem solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure, and prioritize properly to deliver multiple projects in timely manner
- A good team player with positive attitude
- Former working experience with HEAT or ACCPAC is definitely an asset
