We are seeking an experienced and adaptable professional with a strong Citrix background and relevant certifications who'd be interested in relocating to join our client's consulting team in the Cayman Islands.
Our client is a leading provider of information technology solutions and professional services for a range of local and international businesses in the region including banking, investment, legal, accounting, hospitality and others. This role would be well matched to a Citrix certified Engineer (ideally CCEA / CCEE or better) who's been working for a VAR/Professional IT Services firm in a customer facing, Citrix-focused role.
While the focus of this position will be on the portfolio of products from Citrix, the successful candidate will be expected to contribute in other areas from time to time and therefore complimentary skills in other relevant technologies (Microsoft, VMWare etc) would be an advantage.
Working in a client-facing, consultative position, this individual will be responsible for duties including:
•Provide consultancy level expertise in Citrix products acting as a Lead Engineer for Citrix related solutions
•Participate in pre-sales consulting, proposal design and customer presentations
•Design, implement, document and support VM technology solutions based on Citrix XenServer
•Project management duties related to own projects
•Oversee and participate in the support of existing systems onsite at customer locations and remotely
•Provide mentoring and training to other staff members as needed
We are seeking as much as possible of the following in a preferred candidate:
•5+ years of relevant I.T. experience including at least 2 years of experience working in an external consulting role with a VAR or professional services firm
•Current Citrix certification is required such as CCEA, CCEE or CCIA for Virtualization (candidates with CCA who are nearing higher-level certification will also be considered).
•Prior XenServer, XenDesktop and XenApp field experience preferred
•VMWare training or certifications such as VCP or VCAP would be a strong asset
•Windows Server background and MCITP or MCSE certification would also be of benefit
•Excellent communication skills and a customer service oriented approach is required
•An interest in relocating to the Cayman Islands and the ability to do so relatively easily
