IT TECHNICIAN
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of professional experience building quality web applications built on the LAMP stack. Preference will be given to those skilled in using frameworks such as Symfony, CakePHP, RoR, Zend Framework, etc.
• Thorough and attention to detail
• Self-motivated
• Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal
• Ability to learn quickly, work independently, and take ownership of tasks, processes, and products
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Object-Oriented PHP 5
• MySQL 5
• Ability to hand code standards-based XHTML + CSS
• Web frameworks (Symfony, CakePHP, RoR, Zend)
• ORM
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and a JS framework such as jQuery or Prototype
• In-depth understanding of application engineering processes for the web
• Aware of web standards, their purpose, benefits and appropriateness
