Human Resources Analyst -- Payroll and Reporting (toronto )

Our client, a leading financial institution, is currently seeking a Human Resources Analyst -- Payroll and Reporting, to join their expanding and dynamic team. The individual will be responsible for the coordination of the bi-weekly payroll process and will also develop and maintain metrics and reporting for the Human Resources department.
Responsibilities include:
• Processing, tracking and maintaining all payroll transactions relating to new hires, internal transfers, terminations, etc.
• Creating and maintaining HR/Payroll and associate files
• Liaising with the head office payroll group to resolve discrepancies as required
• Analyzing and auditing payroll reports for accuracy
• Responding to employee and management inquiries regarding payroll and benefits
• Creating regular and ad hoc reports and metrics using data from a number of sources
• Synthesizing large amounts of data, identifying key trends and presenting results in a logical concise manner
• Supporting data audit processes to promote continuous improvement in data quality
• Providing support on HR projects, as required
Qualifications:
• University degree in a related field, with a minimum of 2 years of experience
• Strong knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Previous experience in payroll is a must
• Excellent knowledge of metrics, data, and business intelligence strategies
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Bilingual (French and English) would be an asset
