Title Video Monitoring Operator / Full-time
Position Overview We are seeking qualified candidates to join our video monitoring team. This crucial role will provide you with the experience and training you need to move your career forward.
As a video monitoring operator you will provide highly accurate security video monitoring services for the company and carry out all related duties as assigned..
Responsibilities
1. Develop proficiency in the Video Management Software utilized to monitor client sites
2. Coordinate responses to identified security events on a client’s site and contacting the
appropriate emergency service(s) to respond to a verified security event as needed
3. Check to ensure all systems are online, noting any malfunctions and notifying the monitoring centre manager of all issues
4. Provide written and/or electronic information and updates for relieving personnel or incoming shift(s)
5. Maintain accurate records of all incidents on a site and preparing incident reports for any security events
6. Function as a communications liaison and dispatcher.
7. Assist the Supervisor, as directed.
Requirements
• Experience using surveillance equipment and software a definite asset
• Excellent computer skills
• Excellent communication skills â€" both written and verbal English
• Strong decision making ability â€" shows good judgment and confidence
• Proven ability working with numbers
• Team Player
• Proven to be detail oriented, reliable, punctual, efficient, and diligent in duties and responsibilities
Additional Physical Requirements:
• Ability to sit for long periods of time
