JOB POSTING:
FAMILY RESOURCE CENTRE CO-ORDINATOR

PURPOSE: To plan, co-ordinate, implement, deliver, promote and evaluate the Centre's family resource centre programs and services.
REPORTS TO: Program & Resource Development Manager
EDUCATION & TRAINING: ECE or other related post-secondary education; experience in program planning, service delivery and program co-ordination; excellent communication skills, oral and written; excellent organizational skills; sound knowledge of MS Office computer programs.
SALARY: $23.18/hour, CUPE Local 2998, Wage Grade 9, Step 1
HOURS: Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. -- 5:00 p.m.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Plan and implement creative and stimulating program activities for infants, toddlers, pre-schoolers and their parents/caregivers.
• Provide direction and evaluation of student placements, volunteers and project staff.
• Provide a safe, attractive, welcoming and enriching program environment.
• Develop and provide resource material for parents and caregivers.
• Responsible for the development and maintenance of the Toy & Resource Library.
• Design and administer the program budget in collaboration with the Program & Resource Development Manager and the Finance Manager.
• Provide information for funding applications and reports (statistics, program description, etc.).
• Network with similar programs and associations (FSIO).
• Maintain attendance records and related information.
• Develop and maintain a system to evaluate program activities and implement changes based on feedback.
• Maintain an inventory of equipment and toys and purchase replacement material in accordance with budgetary requirements.
• Participate in CECC fundraising and promotional activities.
• Attend relevant training sessions, seminars, and conferences as available and appropriate.
• Share responsibility with other staff for coverage of the reception aspect of the Centre, and the maintenance of a secure and safe environment within the Centre.
