The successful candidate will possess two (2) or more years of experience as an Insurance Defence Lawyer. You will be representing some of the largest insurers in Canada. You must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Superior proofreading skills and knowledge of legal court documents and procedures are required.
Ability to provide advice to insurers and reinsurers on coverage, defence and indemnity obligations as well as loss exposures, issues of priority, excess, umbrella, as well as allocation of loss issues. You will provide advice to clients on policy wording, claims and underwriting, regulatory matters and privacy obligations.
