Freelance Videographer and Editor
at Web Studio in York Region
Job Description:
We are a small contractor that develops web-based resources for clients. We are currently looking for new graduates who are interested in applying to be a part of our freelance pool for videographers and editors.
Ideal videographer candidates will have strong video and editing skills in addition to excellent communication skills. They will show a clear knowledge and understanding of the video production process, and will be able to demonstrate their experience with working on all stages of the video production life-cycle. Furthermore, they will have a good sense of creating an aesthetic and professional atmosphere on screen in all types of environments (controlled and uncontrolled).
Taking direction from the producer, the editor will be able to work with the raw footage to produce a rough cut, leading to the final product (after all post-production stages are approved). While ideal videographer/editors must be willing to be receptive to feedback and changes throughout the process, they will also be encouraged and expected to offer their own suggestions for enhancing the quality and content of the video.
If you are a recent graduate or someone who has expertise in producing and/or editing videos in DVD and web format, please email us to express your interest, and provide us with access to a few videos that have been produced and/or edited by YOU. In your email, please also include your expectations for compensation or fees for services.
Please note that we will be requesting that these videos be authenticated by you before you are accepted into the freelance pool.
Compensation will be negotiated based on experience/skills.
