Part Time Server @ Novotel Vaughan Hotel (Across from Vaughan Mills in Vaughan, ON)

Novotel Toronto Vaughan Centre si a modern and stylish hotel with a trendy vibe that just opened on November 2010. Our location is right in the heart of a growing corporate and leisure centre which offers an enjoyable and lively after work lifestyle. Its close proximity to attractions such as Vaughan Mills Shopping Centre and Canada’s Wonderland makes it easy to combine work and fun. At the hotel we “work hard and play hard” and if you are an individual with a hardworking and fun personality, you may be the person we are looking for.
We are looking for dynamic individuals with a passion for excellent food and exceptional service to fulfill a Part Time Server position at our restaurant, Trio.
Server
The server has the duty of answering guests’ questions about food, beverages, and the hotel accurately and in a friendly manner. Presents menu to guests and suggests dinner courses, appropriate wines, and answer questions regarding food preparation. Relays order to kitchen and serves courses from kitchen and service bars. Observes diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed. A server may be designated to serve at banquets.
Skill Requirements:
• Previous experience working in a high-volume casual dining restaurant a definite asset
• Communicate effectively with all team members and management
• A team player who is able to enjoy a fast paced environment
• A pleasant and engaging personality coupled with a professional appearance and demeanour is a requirement for all positions within our restaurants
• Must have working knowledge of the English language (verbally & writing)
• Must be in good physical condition; able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift; able to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 30 pounds without assistance
• Maintain a safe work environment and is dedicated to a high level of Health & Safety standard
