Part Time Maintenance Person
Performs a variety of work in the maintenance & repair of buildings and grounds including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, glaziers, masonry and painting tasks; repair and treats structures, performs minor trouble shooting, reports mechanical malfunction to appropriate party for action. Exercise discretion in identifying projects requiring the service of higher skilled crafts person; assists in obtaining quotes and arranging for services of outside vendors as needed. Maintain clean, safe and orderly work environment.
Skills Requirement:
• High School or University/College Diploma is preferred
• Effectively use a variety of hand and power tools
• Knowledge of methods use in maintenance including basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, glass replacement, painting, masonry, grounds keeping, appliance repair and electrical wiring
• Knowledge of safety practices and procedures related to the building trades
• Excellent customer service and communication skill
• Energetic, self-motivated, friendly, and upbeat person who thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain a professional appearance at all times
• Willing to work on evenings, weekend and holidays
• Fluent in the English language, written and verbal
• Able to stand for a long period of time
