STATUS: Full Time - 6 week contract role
Summary:
St. Joseph Media is Canada's third largest magazine publisher with brands including award-winning titles such as WHERE Canada magazines, Toronto Life, Fashion, Weddingbells, Canadian Family, and Quill & Quire.
We are looking for an energetic Senior Production Manager for a 6 week contract role. You must have excellent people skills and a strong organizational sense.
Responsibilities:
• Overseeing the Ad Tracking process for Weddingbells and Mariage Quebec production cycle. Ensure good working relationships between Production Manager, Prepress Manager and Ad Coordinators.
• Manage directory page production process with a team of designers and coordinators; approximately 800 ad units and 400 editorial pages.
• Follow publication schedule and meet all delivery dates for seven (7) editions, some include split runs.
• Maintain balanced workloads and file deliveries for each team member.
• Enforce client approval processes and proofing procedures for print files and plant proofs.
• Maintain Filemaker database for advertising clients.
• Coordinate Printing of Source 2 page insert for Weddingbells and Mariage Quebec.
Education and Experience Required:
• 5-7 years related working experience in a publishing environment
• InDesign, Adobe Acrobat Professional, Filemaker
• Knowledge of Pitstop or Preflight Pro is an asset
• MacIntosh work environment
• Bilingual (French/English) is an asset
• Project management experience required
• Management experience preferred
