Payroll & Benefits Administrator (Midtown)

Our client, a midtown entertainment is seeking the aforementioned to join their team on a permanent, full time basis. The successful candidate MUST have experience with ADP.
• Primary responsibility for the preparation and issuance of the bi-weekly payroll for offices located in Canada and abroad. The Payroll is processed through ADP.
• Tracking of all overtime, vacation time, sick time and statutory holidays for all staff.
• Verification of the weekly time sheet for each employee ensuring time is accounted for correctly and all project time charges are recorded correctly.
• Benefits administration
• Processing of all staff changes in the Payroll System and the Accounting System
• Maintain all employee personnel files on a confidential basis, including tracking probationary periods to ensure employees are interviewed at that stage.
• Review and reconcile ADP tax remittances.
• Reconcile benefit and payroll general ledger accounts, including journal entries to record payroll.
• Prepare and process manual cheques for new hires, terminations, etc.
• Prepare Records of Employment for terminations
Experience and Qualifications
• Good relationship skills including previous experience interacting with senior management and staff.
• Previous experience as a Payroll Administrator a MUST
• Previous experience using ADP is desired.
• Sound knowledge of general accounting concepts.
• Strong attention to detail.
