Jr. Operations Manager (Downtown Toronto)

Our client, a downtown investment bank is seeking an Operations Team Leader (permanent) with experience dealing with new accounts, data integrity and analysis.
Responsibilities:
? Monitor and follow up with institutional clients on outstanding account opening documentation and ensure that documentation is complete and in order
? Prepare and disseminate reports in a timely and accurate manner
? Update client data and ensure that all changes in client static information, rates, credit limits, confirmation delivery, custodian details and settlement instructions, are updated accurately
? Review control reports and perform due diligence to manage and ensure the data integrity and consistency across internal applications as well as third party vendor feeds, resolving issues where appropriate
? Working with internal business units in reviewing static setups and providing liquidity reporting
? Maintain high level of communication with other global team locations with a view to providing global coverage
? Ensure that all jobs are carried out in accordance with established policies and procedures (compliance) and observe internal controls requirements
Qualifications:
Experience with settlements (global), reconciliations and compliance functions.
Exposure to trading desk and Middle Office teams
Accuracy skills and good eye for detail
Good grasp of business requirement for accurate static data and the business impact surrounding incorrect data
Knowledge of systems such as Bloomberg, Reuters, Alert required
Basic understanding of upstream & downstream dependencies of the data
Microsoft office skills (intermediate to advance
