Full-Time Web Developer (Downtown Toronto)

The Rostie Group is looking to grow its web development team.
As a Web developer for this organization, you will: Solution Development and Delivery; Assist in the design, coding, and testing of technical solutions; Understand standard systems development lifecycle processes and applies our methodology effectively on client engagements; Apply knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve service to our clients; Understand project and development plans and is able to clearly articulate roles, project goals, and timelines; Adhere to coding standards defined by technical management; Accurately employs our development tools; Establish responsible deadlines and personal work plans.
The successful candidate for this role will: Listen to others and accepts input from team members; Clearly articulate ideas and thoughts verbally; Accurately prepares written business correspondence that is coherent, grammatically correct, effective and professional; Understands basic relational database concepts; Confidently writes SQL statements; Possesses knowledge of various database access methods.
Requirements for this position include a working knowledge of structured programming languages including but not limited to: .net, VB, ASP, PHP, SQL 2000/2005, C Sharp; Exhibits proficiency in HTML, HTM and ASP languages; Possesses basic knowledge of XML/XSL.
Additional requirements include: Adobe Dream Weaver; Microsoft Visual Studio .net; Photoshop; Demonstrates basic knowledge of object and component methodology and technology; Possesses basic knowledge of classes, components, objects, and interfaces; Recognizes the fundamental differences between the various internet browsers.
