WEB DESIGNER

Job Description:
The Web Designer will be required to design, prototype and implement two corporate web sites under the direction of the marketing team.

Responsibilities:
Familiarize with the existing web presence and/or applicable content
Present some high-level concept ideas for the design and layout
Implement the web site in an iterative fashion with review / feedback sessions
Provide a flexible and administrable news and current events component
Ensure a reliable indexing and search component

Qualifications:
Expert knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS
Excellent Image Creation/Editing skills
Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver
Ability to CODE in HTML, CSS and Javascript is manditory
Experience with Java, Jboss, MySQL
Solid Flash (or comparable) skills
Solid PHP or JSP (or comparable)
FTP knowledge
Experience with AJAX is an asset
Experience implementing / using Content Managmenet Systems such as Joomla, Mambo or Wordpress is a plus.

For the duration of the contract, this will be an onsite position. The office is located in downtown Toronto on the corner of Bloor and Yonge directly above the TTC subway intersection.
