Web Developer - Interactive Agency (CSS, HTML + PHP or ASP.NET) (TORONTO, ONTARIO)

Grossman Dorland Recruitment is working with a leading, global interactive agency to recruit a Web Developer for their Toronto office. The Web Developer position represents an exciting opportunity to jump start your career in a small, but growing technology group of a leading global interactive agency. The Web Developer will work closely with producers, information architects, designers and agency leaders to design, implement and maintain applications and microsites for some of the world's largest brands.
Responsibilities:
- Technical project lead in collaboration with producers, copywriters, designers, information architects and strategic leaders.
- Lead the design and implementation of new CMS-based implementations for marketing-driven clients.
- Maintain existing client implementations on CMS platforms.
- Establish and maintain technical consistency (e.g., frameworks, documentation standards, quality standards) with third-party web developers (e.g., freelancers, contractors).
- Provide deliverable/task definition, resource requirements and time estimates to producers to ensure projects are effectively resources and expectations set effectively with clients.
Required Experience:
- 2+ years web development experience, ideally in an interactive agency or web development shop
- Proactive approach to your work with a proven ability to be successful in a collaborative team environment.
- Experience with Content Management Systems. No specific CMS experience is required.
- Intermediate level experience with HTML/CSS/javascript experience is required.
- Web development experience with at least ONE of PHP, ASP.NET or Java is required.
- Basic Flash AS4 and AS5 experience is required.
- Basic database development experience with MySQL or MS SQL Server is required.
