Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training, Completion of university
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not required
Experience: 1 to less than 7 months
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Specific Skills: Communicate electronically and in person with computer users experiencing difficulties to determine and document problems experienced, Consult user guides, technical manuals and other documents to research and implement solutions, Provide advice and training to users in response to identified difficulties, Collect, organize and maintain a problems and solutions log for use by other technical support analysts
Work Setting: Computer hardware or software retailer/wholesaler, Help desk, Computer systems unit
Computer and Technology Knowledge: Windows, PDA, Hardware, Device drivers, Networking software, Project management software, Business diagramming software
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Tight deadlines, Attention to detail
Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel, Travel expenses paid by employer, Public transportation is available
