Sample & Feasibility Analyst, Global Panels
The successful candidate will be joining the team responsible for generating feasibility reports for project proposals from Vision Critical’s nationwide online panels in the US, UK and Canada, and for handling the execution of sample extractions for projects that field on those panels. The role will involve working well in a fast-paced environment and adopting a client service mindset when communicating with the other business teams that use our panel sample.
The candidate will be joining the Global Panels Team reporting to the Director for Panel Project Operations. The Global Panels team is a new and growing division within the company, offering the candidate opportunities for learning and growth, with good prospects for progression based on merit and initiative.
Responsibilities
•Work closely with our Quotations Manager to support feasibility requests for project proposals
•Process a high volume of sample requests, prioritizing and synthesizing information to obtain relevant information required to execute the sample pull
•Execute on the extraction and deployment of representative samples and run counts for feasibility requests
•Able to develop and implement new sample matrices based on census information
•Assist in coordinating incoming sampling and feasibility requests, and help to develop appropriate work-flow processes
•Communicate directly with research and operations teams on specific sample requests, providing advice as appropriate, as well as trouble-shooting on individual projects with regards to the sample, incidence and other related aspects
•Become proficient with Vision Critical’s in-house software, Sparq as well as any software used in the sampling process (currently SPSS)
•Develop an understanding of our sample pricing and be able to price out a project
Requirements
•Educated to post-secondary diploma or degree standard (or has equivalent business experience)
•Experience in using a data analysis package such as SPSS or SAS and/or in dealing with large datasets in either SPSS, SAS, MS Access or SQL
•Aptitude for problem solving and analytically-minded; Attention to detail
•Ability to work under pressure and possess a high degree of tenacity
•Self-starter with strong time management and organizational abilities; able to set and meet deadlines
•High aptitude for technology, fast to learn and adaptable; proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
•Professional presentation and confident communicator with excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written
Highly Desirable
•Market Research Industry experience (specifically online) or demonstrated knowledge (have taken related courses)
•Particularly, if candidate wishes to be based in Vancouver, flexibility around hours worked will be important, especially ability to work East Coast hours as required
