ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for an experienced Java/J2EE Developer. This is a great opportunity to join a growing, expanding, progressive company. The person in this position will be responsible for developing large scalable and high performing internet business applications with a high degree of quality. This will include design of software components, developing test cases and application support.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS/KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Degree in either Computer Science or any related Engineering discipline
? 5+ years – design and development experience in J2EE environment
? Extensive understanding & experience using frameworks such as Spring or Struts
? Extensive skills in building Web based applications
? Extensive experience to multi-threaded Java-based application development
? Extensive understanding & experience using design patterns
? Extensive understanding & experience using SOA and webservices
? Good Knowledge of UML and modeling
? Thorough in-depth knowledge of design and analysis methodology & application development processes
? Experience with Tomcat Servlet Engine and BEA Weblogic App Server V.8.1 or higher
? Experience with Database development (T-SQL)
? Knowledge of the Unix, Linux, Windows operating systems
? Knowledge of database architecture and design principles
? Detail oriented with good organizational skills
? Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic team environment
? Ability to handle escalated customer support issues
? Proven ability to meet deadlines and take initiative
? Strong analytical and problem solving skills
? Communication skills
