Work with the Ontariofresh.ca Program Manager to support the development of an Ontario-wide online marketplace for consumers and businesses to source local food. The marketplace will be an expansion and evolution of the Greenbelfresh.ca website. This website will be a key tool in the successful implementation of the Greenbelt Fund, a promotional program focused on significantly increasing the procurement of local, Ontario-grown food.
Main Responsibilities:
? Support the work of the Project Manager in developing and executing Ontariofresh.ca
? Organize all consultations/meetings (travel, room bookings, etc) with local food advocates, farm groups, food procurement businesses and others to provide input into the development of Ontariofresh.ca
? Organize regular meetings with the web design company and other suppliers/partners
? Take notes during meetings and transcribe them for the project team and/or project stakeholders
? Maintain the project calendar
? Assist with developing the website, with new creative ideas and regular maintenance and updates
? Assist with activities to evaluate the success of Ontariofresh.ca
? Assist communications staff with to develop and execute a marketing and promotion strategy for Ontariofresh.ca as well as other initiatives/projects as required
? Assist program management staff with other initiatives/projects as required
? Receive and greet the clients by telephone and in person, determining their needs
? Provide general clerical assistance (typing, photocopying, etc.) as required
? Conduct all other duties as directed by the President or the Program Director
Qualifications:
? Assistant or executive assistant experience
? Exceptional organizational skills
? Outreach experience and good public communication skills
? Knowledge of local agriculture and/or food procurement issues is desired
? Communication experience is an asset
? Experience in working as part of a project team
? 2+ years experience
