Overview
Located in Mississauga with approximately 100 employees our client is in the logistics and distribution sector. Reporting to the General Manager, your role is responsible for all Human Resources services for the operation. These services include managing new projects, recruitment, orientation, training and development, compensation, performance management and employee relations.
Responsibilities
Ensure HR strategies and actions are aligned with the business needs
Drive the development and implementation of an organizational training strategy
Develop and implement a company performance management program
Develop a recruitment/retention plan and manage organizational headcount budgets
Support and coach team leaders in change management process
Influence business leaders to take action to enhance organizational performance
Measure the impact of HR initiatives on achievement of business goals through the use of key performance objectives (KPO’s)
Managing the administrative and transaction human resource service activities
Negotiate and manage vendor agreements with service providers, such as compensation and benefit consultants, facilitators, insurance and pension companies
Ensuring the standardization of all contracts, documents, and agreements
Qualifications
Committed to business excellence, you are a proactive HR leader with a distinguished record of performance and innovation. Demonstrated experience with assisting organizations to deliver results through a balanced emphasis on the environment, social and financial results.
You have 3+ years of progressive experience and demonstrate the following key skills:
Coaching/Performance Management
Project Management
Internal expert on employment matters
Health and Safety
B.A. degree required, CHRP would be an asset
Demonstrated experience in working in a non-union logistics or manufacturing environment
Experienced and knowledgeable about human resources best practices including recruitment
Demonstrated contribution to overall company results
Team builder
Self starter, high energy level
