African/ African- American women’s magazine, seeking freelance writers to cover a variety of topics. Pays approximately $200 – $350 per 1,000 word feature. The topics we normally cover are: * Health & Beauty* Food and Nutrition* Money and Finance (entrepreneurship, investing etc…)* Relationships (dating, marriage and divorce etc…)* Politics*Agriculture*Music and Entertainment*Art and Literature*Spirituality*Film*Current Events*Family (parenting etc..)*Fashion*Education*Technology*History*Women in sports*Humor To be considered, please send your resume and a 500- word sample based on one of the topics above. Samples must be original and unpublished. Experienced writers should also include a portfolio of published work, with a maximum of two samples. If either your resume or samples are missing, we will not consider you for this position. A BA in journalism or a related field as well as experience in writing is an asset. We are not looking for full-time staff. However, we may contact you for assignments in the future.
