Human Resources Generalist (Toronto (Don Mills & Shepard))

Our client, located in the Toronto (Don Mills & Shepard) area, is currently seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join their team on a permanent part time basis.
As HR Generalist, you will be responsible for the following:
-Annual reinforcement of policy and employee acknowledgement that they read the policy
-Management of Sick Leaves & Maternity Leave (this includes advising managers accordingly)
-Consistency in the message to employees in communication policy and protocol; getting help to get the answer either from Services Canada or other HR sites or lawyers when it exceeds their knowledge.
-Training/seminar of the policies or lunch and learns
-Suggesting corporate-wide seminars or team-building or training that would benefit managers and/or frontline
-Managing the HR collateral; forms and publications and keeping them up-to-date (including the employee handbook).
-Managing the relationship with Best Doctors and Employee Assistance Program.
-Managing Job Postings and screen job descriptions; manage the job bank of resumes.
-Handle hiring and termination processes and documents;
-Assist Managers with remedial process.
-Recognition Program
-Orientation of new employees.
-Handles follow-up with candidates for hiring initiatives.
