Service Coordinator (Trafalgar and Cornwall)

This company has been in business for over 15 years; performs approximately 10 million in revenues; and employs approximately 20 to 30 staff.
The hours are 9-5 pm Monday to Friday...
We are a manufacturer of energy efficient commercial kitchen ventilation systems. The systems are used in all types of commercial food service including restaurant chains, hospitals, convention centers and arenas throughout North America.
We are looking to hire a Service Coordinator, immediately! The position will be based at our head office in Oakville, Ontario.
70% of the role is administrative so organizational skills are required! 30% of the role is technical with understanding concepts and problem solving product issues with customers across North America.
TASKS:
• Answer all service calls and obtain from the caller the required information for initiating the most appropriate actions.
• Assign appropriate priority level to each service request.
• Assign each call to the appropriate technician.
• Create Work orders and Purchase Orders in the system
• Review job sheets.
• Review and assign monthly maintenance work orders
• Schedule manpower for the execution of quoted work
• Maintain a current outstanding work order list.
• Maintain after hours service schedule.
• Complete various reports such as “Work In Progress”.
• Order parts and materials.
• Assist with various administrative duties as required.
• Development and / or maintenance of relationships with key vendors and clients
• Support our day-to-day construction activities in the office and in the field
• Review deliverables prepared by team before passing to client;
• Minimize our exposure and risk on project
• Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
• Project cost control and schedule management
• Prepare project cost estimation and tender proposals
REQUIREMENTS:
• This position requires an autonomous and proactive individual who can manage time and priority effectively with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to use judgment under pressure and choose appropriate course of action.
• Ability to work unsupervised and alone in a reliable fashion;
• Community college diploma in a discipline related to HVAC, Construction Management, Project Management or Architectural Technology (would be an ASSET)
