We are accepting applications for the full-time position of Junior Technical Designer We are looking for someone mechanically minded, with experience using SolidWorks to do pricing, production, assembly/mechanical drawings.
Job Description: The Junior Technical Designer is responsible for the creation of all mechanical and assembly computer drawings, will work with production to create bill of materials for each project and for pricing.
Requirements: Must be proficient in SolidWorks, understanding of physical construction of structures
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time
Compensation: Salary to be negotiated, Full Medical Benefits, Paid Vacation, Stock Options
Location: Mississauga at Dixie/Derry
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training, must be trained in SolidWorks
Experience: An asset but not required.
Languages: Must Speak English, Read English, Write English. Speak French and asset but not required.
Area of Design Specialization: Technical Design, Mechanical Engineer Technician, Production Design
Business Equipment and Computer Applications: SolidWorks, Adobe Illustrator, PhotoShop, Microsoft Office Suite.
Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment, sourcing materials, phone use.
Essential Skills: Attention to detail, Problem Solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Reading text, Document use, Oral communication, Organization, Information Gathering, Computer Use.
