Intermediate Litigation Law Clerk (Downtown Toronto)

High-profile, national law firm located in downtown Toronto, steps from Union Station requires a qualified Litigation Law Clerk to join their growing Litigation Team.
Duties include a variety of routine and complex matters, in litigation and related areas, under the supervision of lawyers. Organize files, draft affadavits of documents and others, assist in preparing motion records, draft correspondence and documents related to processing; review and summarize transcripts of examinations and identifies undertakings, refusals and under advisements. Preparation of summaries of evidence for discovery and trial. Compilation of Books of Authorities and other briefs etc.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years current working experience as a Litigation Law Clerk, being fully conversant with the current rules of civil procedure. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential. Proven ability to work to deadlines and a billable hours target are also required. Experience in Employment law would be a definite asset.
