Client Engineer, Android or iPhone
Zenitum, Inc. is looking for two experienced Android or iPhone developers to join our growing team and work on the next generation of mobile augmented reality (AR) software. Zenitum takes advantage of the Android and iPhone platforms as much as possible. We leverage the user’s location, the device’s camera, accelerometer, touch screen input and more. We’re looking for someone with a keen eye for good user interface, and experience working with platforms that have constrained device resources. The candidates we choose can work remotely from anywhere in the world, provided they can be reliably accessible and have fast and reliable internet access.
Responsibilities
Software development of mobile location-based and vision-based augmented reality (AR) applications and support libraries
Assist in designing and documenting client/server APIs
Implement Android client design mockups
Push builds to the Android Market or the iPhone AppStore
Requirements
Deep knowledge of the Android SDK or iPhone API
Expert in Java, C, C++, Objective C
Client-server application development on the iPhone platform
Hard-working and a fast learner
Strong ability to communicate in writing and verbally
Passionate
Ideal Candidate
One or more Android or iPhone apps that have already been published in the Android Market or the App Store
Familiarity with Python
Contributed to or maintained open source projects
Thoughtful, thorough, process-oriented
A foodie, a movie buff, or a secret agent
