Database/Application Developer (Richmond Hill, Ontario)

The responsibilities include MS SQL programming, testing and maintenance; providing support for existing application and databases; work on new requirements to create applications and databases. The ideal candidate for this opportunity will have:
Required Technical Skills:
- 2+ years experience on MS SQL 2000 or later (must have)
- Database design
- Stored Procedures
- DTS, Transactional SQL
- 2+ years of experience in ASP.NET/ASP
- 2+ years of experience in PHP/MySQL
- Strong knowledge of HTML, DHTML, XML and Java Script
- Working knowledge of ftp, sftp, http, telnet, ssh, ssl etc.
- Object orientated software and web development experience.
Added Asset:
- Other RDBMS experience
- LAMP / XAMPP / Webhosting
- Working knowledge of Dreamweaver/Interdev, Photoshop, Fireworks etc.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Strong business acumen and analytical ability
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to understand and contribute to functional requirements and translate them into technical design and development projects.
- Proper documentation of features, technical specifications, and other requirements for projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Team Player - positive attitude
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and yet meet deadlines
- Strong multi-tasking skills
Description:
As the selected candidate for this role, you will be a part of a successful team involved in building & providing support for a real time production monitoring system. You will also be required to provide on-site support, resolve the end-user issues and server maintenance, including tape backups etc.
