Our client, located in Mississauga, is a retail organization. They are currently looking for a Human Resources Business Partner.
In this role, you will report to the HR Manager.
The ideal candidate:
• Conducts store visits and coaches Store Managers in areas of opportunity.
• Provide guidance and coaching to Store Managers on performance management for store employees’ issues demonstrating good judgment
• Conducts all management training programs, demonstrating strong facilitation skills.
• Manages Annual Appraisal for store employees providing feedback on ratings and ensuring fairness and consistency.
• Ensures all Managers are completing 3 Month Appraisals and that they are reviewed prior to delivery.
• Manages the salary increase process for store associate level.
• Conducts thorough behavioural interviews for all selected internal candidates for Management Trainee position as required.
• Manages the Management Trainee programs.
• Reviews and approves all requests related to HR practices i.e. extended vacations, leave of absence, etc.
• Conducts touch base calls with Store Managers and follows up on HR issues regarding store associates.
• Participates in performance management meetings and conflict resolution meetings, as required.
• Supplies Operations with written documentation i.e. warnings, termination letters.
• Monitors and supplies written documentation on all job abandonment cases.
• Monitors and follows up on STD and LTD cases and facilitates back to work program for Associates, Sales Floor Leaders and Management Trainees.
• Enters all data in HR Expert and generates reports on all HR related components, analyzes data and offers recommendations based on findings.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management
• 5-7 years of relevant experience
• Experience in a retail environment required
• Professionalism and discretion are a must.
• Sound judgment and decision making skills
• Excellent writing skills
• Great communication and listening skills
• Great assessment skills
• Interpersonal skills
